For many cultures, rings represent a symbol of commitment.
In this work, the countless rings created by the reflection of light on the water evoke the intimate, constant, and eternal relationship between the sun and the earth.
Observing these relationships, their analogies and symbolism, often triggers in me processes of reflection that eventually transform into images. Capturing them becomes a way of sharing those reflections with whoever stops to contemplate the work.
“Rings” is part of the “Waves” collection, a group of 12 works that seek to capture different moments, thoughts, and sensations arising from the simple observation of moving water — something that for many may appear to be nothing more than a repeated gesture of nature.
