Title of the work:

“Discomfort”

There are obstacles that hinder the water’s progress toward its final destination, which in this case is the shoreline of the city of Colonia, Uruguay.

However, it is unlikely that these obstacles will ultimately prevent that destination from being reached.

While observing this path, what particularly caught my attention were the turns the water had to make to go around what stood in its way.

This observation led me to draw an analogy with perseverance, determination, and the search for alternatives that each of us needs in order to achieve our goals, even when the path initially appears unfavorable.

“Discomfort” is part of the “Waves” collection, a group of 12 works that seek to capture different moments, thoughts, and sensations arising from the simple observation of moving water — something that for many may appear to be nothing more than a repeated gesture of nature.
